Izzy began his music career as a guitar player, studying primarily acoustic and jazz guitar. In addition to playing guitar, Izzy expanded his musicianship to become an accomplished bass player writing, recording and performing with several bands throughout the Pacific Northwest.
In the early 1980’s, Izzy joined pianist and percussionist, Mat Wallis, creator of the progressive rock band, Private Stock, and went into the studio with various musicians, including guitarist and singer Dan Reed (Dan Reed Network) and keyboardist Doug Morlan, to record the Tricks of Trade album.
In the mid 1980’s, Izzy joined heavy metal band, Rottweiller — which included lead singer Paul Crisman, guitarist Rick VanZandt and drummer Doug Marrapodi — to record a demo entitled, Screams of the Innocent.
In 1999, Izzy performed bass for Brandy Alexandra on her debut CD entitled, Goddess.
In 2001, Izzy rejoined the heavy metal band, Rottweiller, who had replaced singer Paul Crisman with Ronny Munroe (Metal Church, Presto Ballet, Trans Siberian Orchestra). Following the release of their CD entitled, Screams of the Innocent, Rottweiller performed at several shows including the 2002 Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany.
And in 2004, with new lead singer, Martin Morin (Alchemy X), Rottweiller released their Rage of War CD, also through Hellion Records, and performed several shows — including the 2004 Headbanger’s Ball in Germany.
In 2008 and 2009, Izzy teamed up with Ronny Munroe, as bassist for The Ronny Munroe Project and performed several shows including the 2009 Rocklahoma Festival.
Izzy also had the pleasure of playing bass on Kurdt Vanderhoof’s (Metal Church, (Presto
Ballet) Presto Ballet CD entitled, The Lost Art of Time Travel — as well as performing with Presto Ballet at the 2009 Cal Prog Festival in California.
Izzy has since collaborated with different artists on a variety of styles of music and songs to make available for licensing, including working with screenplay writer and vocalist, Madsen Gram on his Theatrical Opera Marlo.
Izzy had the honor of taking vocal lessons from world-renowned Maestro David Kyle — he feels that not enough can be said about this amazing and inspirational teacher. He will be missed by many. (Click on image at left to see larger, Izzy Rehaume is on the left.)
